Immobilizer Indicator Light (Without Smart Key)

This indicator light illuminates:
• When the vehicle detects the appropriate key with immobilizer in your vehicle while the ignition is ON.
- At this time, you can start the engine.
- The indicator light goes off after starting the engine.
This indicator light blinks:
• When there is a malfunction with the immobilizer system.
In this case, have your vehicle inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.
This indicator light illuminates: Once you set the ignition switch or Engine Start/Stop Button to the ON position. - It illuminates for approximately 3 seconds and then goes off.
This indicator light illuminates for up to 30 seconds: • When the vehicle detects the appropriate smart key with immobilizer in your vehicle while the Engine Start/Stop Button is ACC or ON.
Repair procedures Removal 1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. 2. Remove the trunk room lamp (A) by pressing the hook. 3. Disconnect the trunk room lamp connector (A).
Repair procedures Inspection 1. Measure the resistance between the terminals. 2. measured resistance is not within specification, the blower resistor must be replaced. (After removing the resistor) (1) Pin No 1.
