| Removal |

Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable. |

Release the parking brake. |
| 3. |
Remove the floor console assembly. (Refer to Body - "Floor Console") |

Separate the parking brake cable (B) from the Equalizer assembly (A).

Remove the rear wheel and tire. (Refer to Suspension System - "Wheel") |
| 6. |
Disconnect the parking cable (B) after remove the parking brake cable fixing clip (A).

Loosen the parking brake cable bracket mounting bolt (A) and nuts (B).

| 8. |
Remove the under cover (A).
|
| 9. |
Remove the heated protector (A).
|
| 10. |
Loosen the parking cable bracket mounting nuts (A).

| 11. |
Remove the parking brake cable after loosening the mounting bolts (A).

| Installation |
| 1. |
Install in the reverse order of removal. |
| Adjustment |
After disassembling/assembling the caliper body or replacing the caliper, parking brake cable or brake disc, re-adjust the parking brake. |

Remove the floor console to adjust the adjustment nut of the parking brake. |
| 2. |
Release the parking brake pedal completely so that the parking brake cable is loosened. |
| 3. |
For the brake pad to locate on the normal operation position, depress the brake pedal halfway several times until the brake pedal gains resistance. |
| 4. |
Fasten the adjusting nut and tighten the parking brake cable until the sum of distance (A and D) from the stopping point to the activating lever (B) and to stopper (C) is less than 3 mm.

Install the floor console. (Refer to Body - "Floor Console") |
| 6. |
Make sure that the parking brake pedal is completely loosened. |
| 7. |
When the parking brake cable is replaced, operate the parking brake several times with maximum force to extend the parking brake cable and adjust the cable according to the above procedure. |
| 8. |
Check whether the wheel operates smoothly. |
| 9. |
Perform driving test. |
