Kia Optima: Blower / Blower Motor
Repair procedures

Connect the battery voltage and check the blower motor rotation.

2. |
If the blower motor does not operate well, substitute with a known-good
blower motor and check for proper operation.

3. |
Replace the blower motor if it is proved that there is a problem with
it.

Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
|
2. |
Remove the crash pad under cover (A).
|
3. |
Separate the connector (A), loosen the mounting screws and remove the
blower motor (B).
|
4. |
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

ECO Indicator Light
This indicator light illuminates :
When the Active ECO system is activated by pressing the DRIVE mode button.
The ECO indicator (green) will illuminate to show that the Active ECO is
operating.
