Repair procedures

Disconnect the (-) battery terminal.
|
2. |
Remove the rear wheel and tire.
(Refer to Tires/Wheels - "Wheel")
|
3. |
Loosen the bolt and nut and then remove the rear assist arm (A).
•
|
To remove the bolt, install the transmission jack under
the lower arm and remove it under no load.
|
•
|
Before removing the rear assist arm, mark the position
and direction of the bolt and washer before changing.
|
|
Tightening torque
Rear carrier : 137.3 - 156.9 N.m (14.0 - 16.0 kgf.m, 101.3 -
115.7 lb-ft)
Rear sub frame : 107.8 - 117.6 N.m (11.0 - 12.0 kgf.m, 79.5 -
86.8 lb-ft)

Check the bushing for wear and deterioration.
|
2. |
Check the rear assist arm for deformation.
|
3. |
Check for all bolts and nuts.
|
1. |
Install in the reverse order of removal.
|
2. |
Check the alignment.
