Disconnect the negative battery terminal. |

Remove the steering column upper and lower shrouds. (Refer to Body - "Steering Column Shroud Panel") |

Remove the steering wheel. (Refer to Steering System - "Steering Wheel") |

Disconnect the all connector (A) from the multifunction switch.

Remove the multifunction switch (B) by loosening the mounting bolt (A).

Install in the reverse order of removal. |

Multifunction Switch Inspection

Disconnect the negative battery terminal. |

Remove the steering column upper and lower shrouds. (Refer to Body - "Steering Column Shroud Panel") |

Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position as shown below.

Diagnosis With KDS

In the body electrical system, failure can be quickly diagnosed by using the vehicle diagnostic system (KDS). The diagnostic system (KDS) provides the following information.

Select the "Car model" and the 'IBU-BCM' to be checked in order to check the vehicle with the tester.

Select the 'Current Data' menu to search the current state of the input/output data. |

To force actuate the input value of the module to be checked, select option 'Actuation Test'. |
