Repair procedures
1. |
Disconnect the (-) battery terminal.
|
2. |
Remove the rear wheel and tire.
(Refer to Tires/Wheels - "Wheel")
|
3. |
Loosen the bolt and nut (A) and then remove the rear lower arm from the
rear axle.
Tightening torque :
137.3 - 156.9 N.m (14.0 - 16.0 kgf.m, 101.3 - 115.7 lb-ft)

Set up the transmission jack under the lower arm in order
to remove it in no-load condition.
|
•
|
Before removing the rear lower arm, mark the position
and direction of the bolt and washer before changing.
|
|

Loosen the bolt and nut (A) and remove the rear shock absorber from the
rear lower arm.
Tightening torque :
137.3 - 156.9 N.m (14.0 - 16.0 kgf.m, 101.3 - 115.7 lb-ft)

5. |
Loosen the bolt and nut (A) and then disconnect the rear stabilizer link
from the rear lower arm.
Tightening torque :
58.8 - 68.6 N.m (6.0 - 7.0 kgf.m, 43.4 - 50.6 lb-ft)

When loosening the nut (A), fix the outer hexagon of
stabilizer bar link.
|
•
|
Be careful not to damage the stabilizer link boots.
|
|

Remove the rear coil spring (A).

|
1. |
Check the spring for distortion, aging or damage.
|
2. |
Check the spring upper pad and lower pad for aging or damage.
|
1. |
Install in the reverse order of removal.
|
2. |
Check the alignment.
